I hate deleting characters that I have invested so much time in and grown attached to . Not to forget also 15k/fissure and all the weapons etc ... I also like getting various headgears, weapons and armors with various rune setups to be able to play different roles.

So I opted to buy 2nd account so I can play a primary necro I always wanted to play . Necro is my favourite PvE character so far (being my 4th). Some people say it's hard to play necro because you can't find groups for missions - well, I never noticed that because I just swap to minion master, grab henchie healers+tanks and go ... who needs someone to "take" them when they can have an undead army clearing the path for them ;D.

Monk was first one I completed the game with, but now I only play her in tombs, since her +5 energy sword makes her superior to PvP characters. Also she has fissure so just for that she's safe .

Speculation cannot be stated in such a way as to portray absolute certainty on the matter. There's most likely been another increase in the creation of specific profession(s); I assure you, there are as many elementals, if not more, from Lion's Arch onward.

I have three PvE characters and a PVP character. The latter sometimes turns into an air spiker, but the former are a Necro, a monk, and a ranger. As much as I like playing dressup (and female eles have the prettiest clothes), the fact that my eles get hit on every time I walk into a town makes me never want to play one all the way through.

Because geomancers and hydromancers rock in the FOW!

Eruption + Earthquake = Shadow Warrior ownage!

I tried an Elementalist, but it wasn't my thing so I got rid. Got a Necromancer instead, which was the best decision I've made in the game so far (aside from starting out as a Ranger). Although that was a long time ago, so I doubt it has much bearing now.

To be honest, I haven't noticed any shift in classes of late. There still aren't enough Monks, there are still too many Warriors, and there is still a gang of Mesmers hanging around complaining about being left out all the time.

I love playing as an Air Ele in PvE, since you can deal damage, cause conditions, and knockdown all with the same elemental line. Physical attackers have no chance with Blind or Weakness, plus I can interrupt other nukers with Gale.

So no, I'd never delete my Ele.

Well, no I haven't deleted my Elementalist and I don't plan on ever deleting him. I must admit though that I don't play him as much lately, but that mostly because I've been playing my other characters. I'm really enjoying the Necro I just started. It promises to be loads of fun.

I'm considering deleting my Ele, since I used him to "learn" the game but now I'm sick of playing him. I have three other characters (Monk, Ranger and a Mesmer) and I really want to play a Warrior, so it looks like my Ele is heading for the trash.

Although I very rarely play my ele, she was the first character I created in GW. I could never delete her. Instead I got a second account to try the other classes.

Started my fourth character as E/R (ugh) switched to E/Me after ascension and enjoy playing either echo (glyph of renewal) nuker or shut-down nuker. Saving up for 15k aero now.

I would have to agree as far as people moving up in the game. When I started my first char back at the end of June there were more eles then. Last time around building up my second char it was a lot more rangers and necros.

If this was already said, I apologize.

rofl. Maybe because elemental damage has the most armor against it except for warrior.

100AL on ranger
80+ al on warrior
60+al for all

Mesmer/necro usually ignores armor
Ranger does piercing (physical)

One mesmer with backfire = dead unless you have hex removal
